Fred Kaems is a multi-disciplinary artist, working as a painter, muralist, designer, and maker. His work as a designer focuses on sleek modern objects, often made for a specific function, and relies heavily on cutting edge software and technology. His experience as a painter and muralist is largely self taught and stems from his background as a graffiti artist in his youth, which can be seen in his frequent use of bold colors, hand cut stencils, and spray paint.
Fred has participated in numerous shows and has work in private collections across the nation from Atlanta to California. He has painted a number of public murals in Milwaukee and beyond, and continues to strive for larger and more impressive works. He earned his Bachelor in Fine Arts from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee in Digital Studio Practices and has a certificate in Digital Fabrication and Design, as well as a Minor in Art History.
